A few thoughts from the desk of Dr. Harold Koning

• Conflict is the starting point for clarification of goals, values and actions

• Establish your identity every day—your identity is your center!

• Your image is how you believe you should be and how you believe others would like you to be

• Honesty includes taking a thorough look at the excuses you are making for maintaining your mental, emotional, physical and social status quo. The more positives you know about yourself, the easier you will succeed in staying in touch with yourself and in appreciating yourself

• Establish for yourself the importance of the benefits you expect to result from working towards your health goals

• List the qualities and values you put to work towards previous accomplishments

• Feel free and strong to enlist others to help you achieve your wellness goals • Your physician only knows how to work on you when you have a health crisis. He/She is trained in crisis management

• You are responsible to maintain good health and to prevent yourself from falling ill. In the United States, we do not have “health care”; we practice “health crisis care”. Prevention of illness is not part of the so-called “health care” system. It’s a big mistake to place your well-being in the hands (and limited minds) of others

• At the beginning of every day make a TO BE list for that day

• At the end of the day determine how you have been feeling that day

• Every day cut out uninterrupted time for your self. Use that time to schedule activities that enhance your wellness only

• Most people are too intelligent for their conventional therapist

• If you do not have a quality life plan…others are planning your life for you

• Know the difference between “IT” power and “I” power. No, it is not the letter “T”. How often do you use “I don’t know” at the beginning of a statement about yourself?

• Aging is not an illness…and neither is Menopause!
